Where systems fail across time, terrain, and transition, we tend the signal.

Threshold Continuity Alliance

The Threshold Continuity Alliance helps institutions navigate collapse-adjacent terrain โ€” where trust erodes, infrastructure falters, and time itself becomes unstable.

We work at the intersection of systems design, temporal risk, symbolic logic, and operational resilience.

โš–๏ธ Governance

Threshold Continuity Alliance is a project of Long Now EU AISBL, an international nonprofit based in Brussels, currently in formation.

Long Now EU AISBL will serve as the legal and fiscal home for TCA and related continuity initiatives. Until formal registration is complete, all activities are conducted under interim stewardship โ€” accountable to the principles outlined in the TCA Codex.

โณ A Time-Bound Company

Threshold Continuity Alliance is incorporated as a mission-limited organization, statutorily bound to conclude operations no later than 31 December 2039.

This structural boundary is intentional: TCA is not designed to scale indefinitely, but to serve a critical continuity window โ€” stewarding systems through the epochal risks of 2038 and laying foundations for the transition that follows.

Upon conclusion:

Long Now EU will assume responsibility for sustaining and evolving this work, including preparations for the Year 2106 timestamp overflow โ€” which is known to impact DNSSEC and other critical infrastructure.

The internet will not remain unchanged. But DNS will likely endure โ€” and its fracture points are already known. We are preparing accordingly.
